VOLUNTEER PERKS
For each major event your adult leaders are involved in, include a little “perk” as a way of saying thanks. For example, at our fall retreat, we distributed goody bags with candy, special pens, a gift card, and encouraging notes from loved ones. As a result, each volunteer felt greatly appreciated. Every time we prepare for an upcoming event, we build momentum with our volunteers because of the anticipation about what will be in the gift bag this time. We find ourselves with highly motivated adult leaders, and all because of a little extra effort in thanking them for their involvement. Dillon Burroughs Noblesville, Indiana |
